Latest DIY etc to turn a primitive kitchen into a workable area!

Note the position of my 'rubber gloves' - demonstrating my thoughts of the authorities who failed us!I spoke out on TV in the October when my funds had run out; my MP also appeared and wrote to the appropriate authority on my behalf re the fact that someone with a large tent was not eligible for funding when someone in a small campervan would be.  The very next day a council officer visited me at my tent!  She told me to go back to the DSS!   It took another battle lasting a few days but the relevant rules were finally unearthed !!!!!!!!!!

Another practical innovation

Offcuts of 'new' carpet underlay bound with gaffer tape and used to insulate walls behind/beside bed.  Side being covered by another 'freecycled' wardrobe door as per those used for overbed storage.  Hopefully this will keep my bedding from absorbing the cold in winter!

All the oak used came from my mother's dressing table :)

Voile to be curtain to hide overbed-storage of 'off-season' clothing in this mini-bedroom!  Brackets have been used elsewhere!

Garden in bloom

Every day people comment on my colourful garden :) It was worth persevering!

 

These photos will be organised soon!  I just wanted to upload some evidence of my efforts over the past few months!  After the short-sighted criticism of my mulching methods, my garden now reaps praise from all ages by the day.  It has given me a 'social life' :)
